LIV BATESHey there!! My name is Liv Bates! I’m 24 years old and currently living in Columbus, Ohio. I graduated in 2020 with a degree in Early Childhood Education and have worked in childcare as a preschool teacher and then as a nanny for the past few years. This season has been the sweetest and I’ve loved getting to pour the love of Jesus out into the lives of kiddos! With that being said, I’m so excited to invite you into the next season I feel the Lord is calling me into!! I must let you know--the fact that you are reading this means so much to me! I am truly so grateful for your interest in learning a little bit more about what the Lord is doing in my life and in this city!
As I am trying to narrow down what I should share here, the first thing that I want you to know is that the Lord is after Columbus, Ohio. He deeply loves the people in this city and is in radical pursuit of their hearts.
As you may or may not know, the last couple of years have been a wild journey of seeking the Lord and where/how He wants to use me to further the Kingdom. He has both opened and closed doors and has poured out mercy and grace as I listen and discern His will for me. A few years ago God planted a seed in my heart to reach the nations for Him. One encounter with His love and I was left with a burning passion for revival and a heart that is utterly broken for the lost. Since then, He has been faithfully cultivating that seed! I long to see captives set free and for generations to wake up and come alive in the love of God!!
One way that I am currently getting to partner with the Lord is through my involvement in my church’s college ministry, 614college!! I wholeheartedly believe that Jesus is moving and will continue to move in and through my generation. College-aged people are in such a special and pivotal season of their life. A season where some are “on their own'' for the first time seeking community and belonging. Others are faced with the decision of wholly laying their life down, picking up their cross, and following Jesus. The Lord is using 614college to gather college-aged people and connect them with a church body where they can learn and worship together. I have the privilege of coming alongside a team of laid-down lovers of Jesus to build relationships and steward spaces for students to encounter the love of God.
