JUSTIN SCHMIDTMy name is Justin Schmidt, I am incredibly excited and honored to announce that I am joining the College team here at 614 Church! I am 22 years old and from Dublin, Ohio. I graduated High School in 2021 where I then went off to college at The Columbus State Community College. During my time in college I lived in a YoungLife house with a couple of my buddies which is where I was introduced to 614 Church! After about a year or so I started to go to the College ministry. It was at this college ministry that I truly had an encounter with the Lord. For the past year I have had the privilege of getting to help lead the ministry as a volunteer, leading a lifegroup and helping out with worship and media throughout the year. I recently joined the college team, on staff, to continue to lead college students and also to continue to help with the media and production of College Nights.
The role that I am stepping into focuses a lot on social media and production of our college nights and while at a glance it may seem insignificant, I believe that social media and production allow us to experience the Father in an entirely new way! With social media my goal is to not just create a page for information but to create a space that allows students to experience the Lord and his love through their phone. With your help, I will be able to help cultivate a space that allows students to have a look into what happens at our events!
Over the past year or so, my heart has become burdened to see the students of Universities around the city have new life in Jesus Christ. With your support, you will get to play a pivotal role in seeing the students on campus here in Columbus, meet and know Christ. Your donation will play a unique role in allowing me to take this calling to the next level in reaching students on campus and beyond. Students today are more connected than ever through social media and I truly believe, and have seen firsthand how, the Lord can encounter people through social media. Throughout this next season, you will get to have a front row seat into seeing students' lives being changed through monthly updates where I will share with you the testimonies from College Nights, Table Nights, Lifegroups, Outreach, etc.
