“And the good news about the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world so that nations will hear; then the end will come.” Matthew 24:14
“…They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on Him. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13
“…and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fulness of God…a deep, intimate, experiential knowledge of God, His will, His heart, His ways!” Ephesians 3:19
“For from Him [Jesus] and through Him and for Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen.” Romans 11:36
It’s all about Jesus all of the time and we will follow him no matter the cost.
We love people wherever they are and enough to not leave them there. There is grace for everyone’s journey.
Jesus redefined greatness by serving. We lead courageously through sacrificial service, following the example of Jesus.
We can and must hear and obey the Holy Spirit.
We value unity and teamwork as we are infinitely more together than we are alone.
We live our lives with the purpose of helping others meet, experience, and follow Jesus.
We expectantly pray big prayers to a God that is always bigger than we can imagine.
We are joyfully generous with our time, talents, and treasures as a response to the nature of God.
Excellence in all we do is our response to the wonder of who God is! We are on time, engaged, and prepared, as this honors one another, and honors Father God.
So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God. You don’t need further instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. And so, God willing, we will move forward to further understanding. – Hebrews 6:1-3 (NLT)
“repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God.”
Repentance is a willful change of the mind — a “turning away” from something in order to turn to something else.
Repentance is turning “away from something…” faith in God is turning “toward God…
“instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands”
Followers of Jesus undergo baptisms in water and baptism of the Holy Spirit.
God empowers us through His Holy Spirit and the community of believers around us to receive all that we need to do all that He calls us to do
“the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.”
There is a future hope we have of being physically resurrected in eternity with God and believers throughout all of time and history.
We believe that Jesus will come back and ultimately judge the world separating those who’re his, and those who reject him.
